Week 05

Homework:

-----> Look at assigment II. there was a mistake. One page 11x17 not two.

I.  4 pages.  Render 2 white cylinders lying on the ground perpendicular to one another
  • the arrangement on the page is up to you
  • both cylinders are lit by the same light source
  • fill the page with your composition
1 page: sun, top light
1 page: sun, side light
1 page: sun, diagonal light
1 page: local light

II.  1 page of 11x17 or similar size of a recognisable symmetrical object of your choice, rendered
  • use all current shapes to create the shape: flat surfaces, cylinders and cones.
  • all surfaces are matte
  • material: marker, pencil, chalk - in any configuration
  • include cut lines and graphics
  • the object may float, but remember to place a corresponding shadow underneath
  • light source of your choice:the goal is to make the form read well
III.  Photography assignment in two parts:
4 pages: take pictures of cylinders in the first assigment's configurations
3 pages or more: as needed to support the rendering of your object in the second assignment.
  • all print outs need to be black and white
  • use the shapes you build in the model class
  • create other quick shapes with paper and foamcore as needed
